JOIN US FOR THE ADVENTURE OF A LIFETIME.
Scouting isn’t just for one type of kid. Any boy or girl with a sense of adventure, backed by the right Troop, can get so much out of Scouting. We know. Over the years, hundreds of our Troop 466 Scouts have earned Scouting’s highest honor—the rank of Eagle Scout—including over 50 in the last 10 years alone. But equally important, through us, thousands of boys, and now girls, have been able to enjoy the Scouting experience; learning skills, having fun, building friendships, and becoming leaders.

Is Troop 466 Right for You?
Here are a few things to consider:
Here are a few things to consider:
- We’re a culturally diverse Troop. We embrace differences and believe they enrich everyone’s experience. We are also deeply committed to bringing girls into the program through our sister Troop 2466.
- We camp…a lot. We have campouts every month, and encourage Scouts to attend at least five each year, so they can learn new skills and have fun. In the summer, they can join a weeklong campout in the Sierras, take a 50-mile historic hike, participate in Eagle Scout service projects, and attend Jamborees. Scouts quickly become competent and comfortable in the outdoors, and they’ll carry that with them the rest of their lives.
- We believe the best way for Scouts to learn is to lead. Attend any meeting or camping trip, and you’ll see the olderScouts—the “Vanguard” patrol—managing the program, with the Scoutmaster and other adult Scouts in the background. We give Scouts a safe place to fail, and help them learn and grow from that experience. Each Scout leads and mentors younger Scouts, because we believe that Scouting is best when the boys and girls develop a sense of ownership and responsibility, and that youth leadership is the best training for adult leadership.
